Suppose you’re looking for a comedic sci-fi adventure. In that case, this is the movie for you, Starring Michelle Yeoh as Evelyn Wang. A struggling Chinese immigrant finds herself as the only person who can save the world and hold the fabric of reality together against the evil Jobu Tupaki, whose plan is to suck all of the multiverses into nothingness. Our hero Evelyn juggles managing her laundromat, paying taxes and saving the world.
From the director that gave us Get Out, and Us, Jordan Peele’s new movie Nope is a thrilling sci-fi horror that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Set in 1998, ranch owners and siblings Emerald Haywood, played by Keke Palmer and O.J Haywood, played by Daniel Kuulaya, discover an unidentified flying object and attempt to capture said object, which happens to be the cause of their father’s death. But, unfortunately, they discover something very dark and sinister instead.
Dual tells the story of a woman who has to fight a clone of herself. Featuring Karen Gillian as Sara, a terminally ill woman purchases a clone of herself to continue her life after she dies. Miraculously her illness is cured, and she has only a year to prepare to fight her clone in a fight to the death.
